Financial Services

The panel discussions will provide compelling insight into key trends shaping the investment space in the region while addressing intrinsic and emerging challenges of investing in the region. Speakers will explore various topics including investor sophistication and sector allocation trends and will touch upon relevant implications brought forward by the global financial crisis. As such, participants are set to gain a sound understanding of prevalant market dynamics and business opportunities ahead.

Energy and Sustainability

MENA is home to more than 50% of the world's proven oil reserves and about 40% of the world's proven gas reserves. However countries in the region are facing depleting resources of fossil fuels subject to a growing demand. The panel will address the impact of this dynamic landscape on MENA's energy mix. Panelists will discuss the evolving trends in the Oil and Gas sector as well as the recent developments in renewable energies and their potential to secure a sustainable energy supply.

Al-Arabiya Media and Telecom Panel

As the telecom market in the MENA region is approaching saturation, convergence with the Media industry is becoming more inevitable than ever, providing a much welcomed growth stream. It also opens a whole array of real-time interactive opportunities for media players to widen their reach. The panel will be exploring how regional & foreign players are tapping into these business opportunities with different strategies & alliances to foster growth. It also addresses the emergence of new opportunities for non-traditional players in the market.
