What is the HARVARD ARAB WEEKEND?
The Harvard Arab Weekend is a four-day conference hosted by the Harvard Arab Alumni Association (HAAA) in collaboration with the Arab and Middle East/North Africa student groups at Harvard. The goal of this event is to provide a forum to discuss important issues related to the MENA region and is consistent with the HAAA’s vision of promoting much-needed dialogue and a better understand of the Arab World. Students run the Harvard Arab Weekend from the various Harvard schools.
The Harvard Arab Weekend will host speakers and panelists with vast experience and knowledge base in matters related to this dynamic region. Throughout the Weekend, participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts, network, and explore a wide variety of career opportunities.
This year's Weekend will feature:
• Over 400 conference participants including students, alumni and professionals
• More than 30 panelists and speakers
• Ten diverse panels on the latest issues in politics, business, design, law, and public health
• Keynote speeches by regional leaders
• Career Fair
Who attends the Weekend?
Last year's Weekend was comprised of more than 400 participants. If you are interested in knowing more about the Arab World, its multicultural nature, and the diverse region that is the Middle East & North Africa, the Harvard Arab Weekend is an event that you will not want to miss!
When and where is the Weekend held?
The Harvard Arab Weekend will be held from Thursday November 12, 2009 to Sunday November 15, 2009 at the Harvard University campus.
Who organizes the Weekend?
The Harvard Arab Alumni Association and the Arab/MENA student groups at Harvard University jointly organize the 3rd annual Harvard Arab Weekend.

Will the Weekend sell out? When should I purchase tickets?
Due to the high demand for tickets, we encourage participants to register online as soon as possible! However, walk-in registration will also be available.
How much are the tickets?
Online registration for the Weekend is free for all students, irrespective of affiliation; $25 for HAAA alumni; and $35 for professionals, faculty and staff.
