The inaugural Harvard Middle East / North Africa Weekend was the first-ever attempt to bring together Arab/Middle East groups at Harvard to present one dedicated weekend showcasing the MENA region and the Arab world. These groups included:

  • Harvard Arab Alumni Association
  • Harvard Business School MENA Club
  • Kennedy School of Government Arab Caucus
  • Harvard College Society of Arab Students
  • The Dubai Initiative at the Belfer Center, Kennedy School of Government

The Harvard MENA Weekend concept was developed with the idea of showcasing a diverse set of events in order to attract a critical mass of students, alumni, faculty and professionals, in addition to executives from the MENA region. This year, over 400 people attended the Harvard MENA Weekend. In the years to come, we hope to continue building the weekend into a more diverse array of events and activities in order to achieve the goal of "bringing the Middle East to Harvard".
